How Do You Use the Binance Announcements Page? Which Announcements Must You Read

The Binance announcements page is the source for all official platform information — delisted coins, suspended deposits/withdrawals, system maintenance, new coin listings, airdrop activities, and fee adjustments all get published here first. We got burned once this past year from missing an announcement and having a position force-liquidated, and also missed out on a Launchpad subscription. While putting this note together we went back through 200+ historical announcements and sorted them into 6 must-read categories. The announcements page isn't very prominent, and newcomers usually can't find it. Below covers the entry point, categories, how to subscribe, and which types you must read, all in one go.

Where Is the Binance Announcements Page?

The Binance Announcements page is Binance's official information hub — every platform-level change is published here first, and only afterward gets synced to App push notifications, email, and Twitter. The common consequences of missing an announcement include: a coin you're holding suddenly gets delisted and can't be traded, a withdrawal address gets temporarily closed, open orders get canceled during maintenance, or an airdrop snapshot time has already passed.

Entry Point 1: Top Navigation on the Web Version

After logging in to Binance on the web, hover over "Support" in the top navigation, and a dropdown will show "Announcement Center." You can also go directly to binance.com/en/support/announcement in the address bar.

Entry Point 2: The Bottom of the App Home Page

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Binance App's home page and you'll find the "Announcements" entry; you can also tap the "Support" icon in the top-right corner, which also links to announcements. If you find it more convenient to receive announcements through the App, turn on push notification permissions first — covered below. If you haven't installed the App yet, get the installer from the Official Binance App download page.

Entry Point 3: Email Subscription

The email you registered your Binance account with defaults to receiving "system announcements," but the default subscription scope is narrow — basically just mandatory announcements. To broaden the scope, you have to manually go to "Account Settings → Notification Preferences" and check additional categories. We'll cover that step separately below.

The 6 Must-Read Announcement Categories (Ranked by Importance)

Binance officially sorts announcements into about 12 top-level categories, but for everyday users, only 6 really need to be watched closely. The table below is the priority order we arrived at after filtering a year's worth of announcements.

1. Delisting Announcements

Delisting announcements are a category every Binance user must read, no exceptions. Binance delists a number of tokens every month, typically for reasons like poor liquidity, an unreachable team, or compliance issues. Delisting announcements are usually published 7 days in advance, giving holders a sufficient withdrawal window. The consequence of missing one: once the deadline passes, that coin's spot trading pair, futures, and margin eligibility are all shut down — the coin stays in your account but can't be sold, and can only be withdrawn on-chain to cash out elsewhere.

2. Suspend Deposit/Withdrawal Announcements

When a blockchain undergoes an upgrade, experiences network congestion, or has a node failure, Binance will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals for that coin. For example, around every Ethereum hard fork, ERC-20 deposits/withdrawals are usually suspended for 2-6 hours; when the Solana network crashes, SOL-ecosystem coins' deposits/withdrawals may be suspended for 1-2 days. The consequence of missing this: you assume a failed withdrawal means you entered the wrong address, when it's actually a network suspension.

3. Maintenance Announcements

Binance performs system maintenance 1-2 times a month, and there are 3 types:

• Spot matching engine maintenance: usually 30-60 minutes, during which all spot orders pause matching but open orders aren't canceled
• Futures system maintenance: usually 15-30 minutes, during which futures positions can't be opened or closed, but existing positions are preserved
• Full service outage maintenance: very rare, only for major annual updates, during which the entire site and App are inaccessible

4. New Listing Announcements

Binance's new coin listing announcements are usually published 2-24 hours in advance and fall into two types:

• Spot Listing: goes straight to spot trading, with extreme opening-price volatility — swings of ±300% in the first 5 minutes are common
• Launchpad / Launchpool: subscription or staking format, requiring you to already hold BNB or another designated token

5. Airdrop Announcements

There are 3-10 airdrop announcements a week, and most have a snapshot time and a registration deadline. The consequence of missing one: missing the snapshot or missing the registration window. Note that official Binance airdrops never ask you to "pay a gas fee first" — any request for a transfer is phishing.

6. Fee and Rule Change Announcements

Covers maker/taker fee adjustments, futures maximum leverage adjustments, minimum order size adjustments, and KYC rule changes. This category is especially important for high-frequency traders and large-volume users.

How to Subscribe to Binance Announcements: 4 Methods

Step 1: Turn On App Push Notifications

In the Binance App, go to "Profile → Settings → Notification Settings" and turn on "Announcement Notifications." It's also worth turning on "Market Updates" and "Asset Changes," but you can turn off "Promotional Activities," otherwise your notifications will get flooded.

Step 2: Subscribe to Email

Go to "Account Settings → Notification Preferences" on the web version and check the following categories:

• System Announcements (required)
• Listing Announcements
• Delisting Announcements (required)
• Maintenance Announcements (required)

Step 3: RSS Subscription

The Binance announcements page supports RSS. Enter an address like binance.com/en/support/announcement/c-49.xml (the suffix varies by category) into an RSS reader to follow announcements in Feedly or Inoreader. The advantage is no time delay; the downside is that non-English language support is limited.

Step 4: Follow @binance and @binancezh on Twitter

Binance's official Twitter accounts sync most major announcements, but detailed announcements like delistings and maintenance aren't always tweeted. Treat Twitter as a supplement, not your only source.

Common Ways to Use the Announcements Page

Use Case 1: Search a Coin's Historical Announcements

The search box in the top-right corner of the announcements page lets you enter a coin ticker (like BTC, SOL, PEPE) to list every related historical announcement, including listings, maintenance, and risk warnings. This is useful for judging "has this coin ever been a focus of Binance's attention."

Use Case 2: Filter by Category

The announcements page has a category tree on the left — click into "Delisting" to see only delisting announcements, or "Maintenance" to see only maintenance announcements. Our own routine is to check the "Delisting" category every Wednesday and Sunday.

Use Case 3: Check the English Version of the Original Announcement

Non-English announcements occasionally have a translation delay (about 1-3 hours). For very important announcements (like delisting or maintenance), it's worth switching to the English version to verify. 3 Lessons We Learned From Missing Announcements

The first time (June 2025): A meme coin we were holding got delisted. The announcement went out 7 days in advance, but we hadn't subscribed. We didn't find out until delisting day, when spot selling was no longer possible — we barely cashed out by withdrawing via the TRC-20 network, losing about 8%.

The second time (September 2025): On the day of the Ethereum Shanghai upgrade, we tried to withdraw ETH from Binance to an on-chain wallet, and the withdraw button showed "Suspended." We hadn't seen that the announcements page had posted a suspension notice that day, and it took 4 hours to resume.

The third time (February 2026): We missed a Launchpool activity that required holding BNB before the snapshot, but at the time we had converted all our BNB to USDT. We lost out on roughly $200 of potential returns.

The lesson: subscribe to email, turn on App push notifications, and scan the delisting category every week — use all three safety nets together. Use your primary email for registration, not a throwaway one, since delisting announcements originally started arriving by email. Q: Why won't the Binance announcements page load? A: The announcements page shares a CDN with Binance's main domain, so if the main site loads, the announcements page usually does too. If only the announcements page won't load, it's most likely a browser cache issue — clear the cache and try again.

Q: How do I convert the "UTC time" in an announcement to Beijing time? A: UTC + 8 hours = Beijing time. For example, an announcement listing 2026-04-25 06:00 UTC corresponds to 14:00 (2 PM) Beijing time on April 25.

Q: Why aren't I receiving push notifications for announcements on the Binance App? A: First check whether App notification permission is turned on (System Settings → Apps → Binance → Notifications); then check whether "Settings → Notification Settings → Announcement Notifications" is turned on inside the App. If both are on and you still aren't receiving them, try restarting the App.

Q: There are too many email categories for announcement subscriptions — what should I do? A: Checking just System / Delisting / Maintenance / Listing is enough. You can turn off promotional and educational categories entirely.

Q: Is the delisting time in an announcement the start of delisting or when it's already delisted? A: It's the time trading stops. Announcements typically list two dates: when trading stops (you can no longer buy or sell after this) and when deposits/withdrawals stop (you can no longer move funds in or out after this). The withdrawal window usually remains open for 1-3 months after trading stops.

Q: Does the RSS feed require a reader app to subscribe? A: Yes, RSS requires a dedicated reader (Feedly, Inoreader, and NetNewsWire all work). If you'd rather not use a reader, email plus App push notifications are enough on their own.
