The Points Most Often Confused
1. Spot Wallet vs Spot Trading
"Spot Wallet" is the Spot account (where assets are stored); "Spot Trading" is the act of spot trading (placing orders). Funds come from the Wallet, and trades happen in Trading.
2. Funding Wallet vs Funding Rate
"Funding Wallet" is the Funding account; "Funding Rate" is the futures funding rate. The two are completely unrelated — the names just happen to collide.
3. Trade History vs Order History
"Order History" covers all orders (including unfilled and cancelled ones); "Trade History" is the record of filled trades. The counts can differ: you might place 100 orders but only 50 of them actually fill.
4. Available vs Total
"Available" is your available balance; "Total" is your total balance. Total = Available + Frozen / In Order. The frozen portion (open orders, collateral) counts toward Total but can't be used immediately.
5. Deposit vs Transfer
"Deposit" means bringing funds in from outside Binance; "Transfer" means moving funds internally between your own Binance accounts. A Deposit involves the blockchain, while a Transfer is purely a database operation.
